| We broke
up the concrete decking and the side walls, ripped the
entire bottom out, crushed it all up into small pieces
and put it back into the hole. It was all crushed into
the ground with fill dirt, backfilled and covered with
more topsoil. |

trees, roots and shrubs and re-graded the area behind the
pool. |

the entire back yard, hand raked it and applied grass

We took out some pretty big
trees, lots of downed limbs and 20 TONS of brush and debris
along this busy road. At least a dozen motorists stopped to
tell us how great it looked! |

| We
began to demolish the house by taking the roof off first,
then the walls, and worked our way down to the foundation. |
|
The
debris (approx. 55 tons) was
loaded into dumpsters and
hauled away.
|

Several
truckloads of clean fill dirt were brought in to backfill
the old basement. |
|
We
brought in a dozer to regrade
the site after the basement
was backfilled. |
|
|
While
to dozer pushed and compacted the site the rubber track
loader started the fine grading. |

About
40 yards of screened topsoil were brought in for the fine
grading. The entire site was hand raked. |
|
The
site was seeded and covered with straw to finish the project. |

Resurface Driveway |

The old
driveway was cracking,
the edges were falling apart and
there were several depressions
where water collected and sat
after it rained. |

entrance was widened quite
a bit to so delivery trucks (and
bad drivers) would stay out of
the mud and ON the driveway
when coming in and out. |

to help keep the water from the
street from flowing onto
the driveway. |

We dug
an 18 long 6’ deep hole
in the ground to install the tank in

and then the hole was backfilled with soil and the area re-graded.

PVC pipe was used to carry the water from the downspouts
(from the roof runoff) away from the foundation. |

clean stone and backfilled after the system was installed. |

Repair Sink Hole |

Didn’t
look like much from the surface. The homeowners had
these small holes filled in with dirt on several occasions.
|

|
It’s what’s
UNDER the surface that counts. We found two “tunnels” going
in opposite directions, running horizontally, about 4’ below
the surface. One was about 5’ long and the other one
was at least 10’ long and big enough for an adult to
crawl into. Amazing!
|

|
We
dug a trench 40’ long,
8’ wide and about 8’ deep, digging more than 15’ farther
than the “tunnels” extended. As we added the
soil back into the trench we compacted it with a 4,000 lb.
remote controlled vibratory trench roller. We finished with
hand raked screened topsoil, grass seed and straw. Looked
great! |

We
excavated into the hill to create a 30’ x 24’ play
area. A large swing set with slide, rock climbing wall,
etc. is being built in it. It’s bordered with landscape
timbers which are secured to the ground with rebar. It’s
filled with 8” of playground mulch.

This was a HUGE basement
for a new two million dollar home

We were challenged with 5” of snow, 2” of
rain and then ice
|

… and lots of mud

But we overcame all the obstacles
with a great outcome |

We
used “slinger trucks” to “shoot” the
stone in. They can shoot the stone about 100’.
|

We spent 2 days hand raking the stone to get
it perfectly level
|

The
old basement walls were 12” poured
concrete. Some of the concrete
was even thicker than that
and presented quite a challenge to break up
and remove.

lot, re-graded
and ready for the builder's next project

All demolition
up to this point was done with our compact rubber track
loader!
|
| The rest of the house was demolished with
a 38,000lb. excavator. |
 |
|
|
The
debris, including the entire foundation and all concrete
slabs, was crushed and loaded into dumpsters.We hauled away
340 TONS of debris!
|

Silt fence was installed around
the entire worksite to prevent any runoff of soil erosion
in the event of a hard rain. |

This
tree stump and roots weighed about 10,000lbs. We dug
out and removed four of them. |

A dozer and the rubber track loader were used to completely
re-grade the property. |

We put a new driveway in. Here, the stone has been laid
and compacted and is ready for asphalt. |

This large retention basin and its 2 forebays were graded
incorrectly when built. The basin collects water from a large
subdivision, including many of the streets

a very large, deep basin.

I built a “road” so
I could safely travel up and down with many tons of stone
and topsoil.

in the forebays

| Using four hand picked boulders,
some black dyed mulch and colorful flowers, we turned an
otherwise dull driveway entrance into a beautiful sight
for guests and passer-bys as well. |
